CONCRETE REPAIR AND CRACK TREATMENT

“Doctor for construction” – diagnose correctly, treat correctly

Cracks, honeycombing, spalling and leaks are all signs that concrete is deteriorating. Treating them early and for the right cause avoids spreading damage and larger repair costs later.

Common problems

Treatment solutions

Process

  1. Survey: record the location, width and direction of cracks and the condition of the concrete and reinforcement.
  2. Identify the cause and propose a method.
  3. Prepare the surface, remove weak material and clean.
  4. Apply repair materials or inject according to procedure.
  5. Finish and add protective waterproofing if needed.
  6. Acceptance and follow-up.

For damage affecting load-bearing structure, ANTINCORP recommends an assessment by a structural consultant before work begins.

Where it applies

Factories, warehouses, office towers, hotels, hospitals, tanks and wastewater treatment tanks, infrastructure, car parks.

Frequently asked questions

Which concrete cracks are dangerous?

Large cracks, growing cracks, cracks accompanied by deflection or exposed rusted reinforcement should be checked by a structural engineer. Small shrinkage cracks usually only need waterproofing and cosmetic treatment.

Is Epoxy or PU used for injection?

Epoxy is usually used when cracks are dry and need bonding and strengthening. PU is usually used to stop water in actively leaking cracks. ANTINCORP chooses based on the survey.

Does waterproofing still need to be applied after repair?

For tanks, basements or any location in contact with water, protective waterproofing after repair is recommended to prevent renewed leaks and reinforcement corrosion.
