What is Penetron and where is it used?

ANTINCORP is the authorized applicator and distributor of Penetron (USA) materials in Vietnam, active since 1993. Penetron is a penetrating crystalline waterproofing system: on contact with moisture in the concrete, the material forms insoluble crystals that fill pores and fine cracks, becoming part of the concrete instead of merely coating its surface.

The range suits basements, elevator pits, water tanks, wastewater treatment tanks, roof slabs, parking decks and industrial structures. It includes PENETRON, PENECRETE MORTAR, PENEPLUG, PENESEAL PRO, PENESEAL FH, PENETRON INJECT and PENETRON ADMIX. ANTINCORP provides free technical consulting and carries out the application itself.

Frequently asked questions about Penetron

How does Penetron crystalline waterproofing differ from a waterproofing membrane?

Penetron penetrates the concrete and becomes part of the structure. It does not form a surface film, so it cannot peel, tear or be punctured like a membrane.

Can Penetron be applied on the wet side or the dry side?

According to the manufacturer, Penetron can be applied on the pressure side (positive) or the opposite side (negative) of a concrete structure.

What crack width can Penetron seal?

According to the manufacturer, Penetron crystals can seal fine cracks up to about 0.5 mm. Wider cracks need to be treated with PENECRETE MORTAR or PENETRON INJECT.

When is PENETRON ADMIX used?

PENETRON ADMIX is mixed directly into fresh concrete. It suits ready-mix plants, precast elements and new construction where waterproofing is wanted from the moment of pouring.
